1. Who we are. Offskies (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a gap-year planning tool operated in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@offskies.co.uk. By creating an account, buying a plan, or otherwise using Offskies (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. What Offskies is - and isn’t. Offskies is a digital planning tool that helps you research and outline a gap year: routes, rough costs, seasonality, checklists and packing suggestions. We are not a travel agent or tour operator. We don’t sell, book, or arrange flights, accommodation or travel, we don’t hold your money for travel, and we don’t provide medical, legal, financial or immigration advice. Everything in the Service is general guidance to help you plan, not professional advice.
3. Accuracy of information. Visa rules, vaccination and health guidance, entry and exit requirements, costs and flight prices change constantly and vary by person. We pull information and links from third-party and official sources (such as GOV.UK and NHS Fit for Travel) and present price estimates and ranges that may be out of date or approximate. You must check the official sources yourself before making any booking or travel decision. We don’t guarantee that any information in the Service is complete, current or accurate.
4. Eligibility and age. You must be 18 or over to buy a plan or hold an account. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must set up and manage the account on your behalf and accepts these Terms for you. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
5. Plans, prices and payment. Some features require a paid plan. The price, billing period and what’s included are shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we don’t store your card details. Prices are in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. If your plan renews automatically, we’ll tell you that at checkout and you can cancel future renewals at any time (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy).
6. Your right to cancel and refunds. If you’re a consumer in the UK you have legal cancellation rights, including a 14-day cooling-off period for most online purchases. How that works for a digital service like ours, and how to request a refund, is set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Acceptable use. Please use the Service lawfully and for your own personal trip planning. Don’t copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our content, try to break or overload the Service, or use it to do anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the Service.
8. Our content. The Offskies name, design, text, and the way we organise routes and checklists belong to us and are protected by intellectual property law. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for planning your own trips. Plans you create for yourself are yours to use.
9. Affiliate links and commission. Some outbound links (for example to flights, accommodation or insurance) are affiliate links. If you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the price you pay, and we don’t let commission decide the guidance we give.
10. Third-party services. The Service links to and relies on third parties (such as payment, hosting, mapping, price data and official information sources). We’re not responsible for the content, availability or accuracy of third-party sites, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms.
11. Liability. We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for losses arising from travel decisions you make, from information that turns out to be inaccurate or out of date, or from your use of third-party sites. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded under UK law. If you’re a consumer, this doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
12. Changes. We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make a significant change we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Ending your use. You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the Service, in which case any refund due is handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
14. Law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
